Skyview Says Yes To A Devil Of A Deal

On October 5, the NHL’s New Jersey Devils became the latest team to go all-streaming with its audio play-by-play of its games, thanks to a deal with Entercom and its Radio.com platform.

Now, the pro hockey team has expanded its partnership with Skyview Networks to include production services.

This will be done in conjunction with the Devils’ use of Skyview’s AdView Inventory Management software and Live Read Capture.

As a result, Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Skyview Networks will handle all home and away game coverage for the current NHL season. Importantly, it gives the franchise full control over the entire broadcast product.

The Devils, following the lead of the New York Islanders and Los Angeles Kings, stream their audio coverage exclusively via a new digital-only radio station, Devils Hockey Network. In addition to Radio.com, access can be found on NHL.com and on the team’s website.

Matt Loughlin, who remains the radio play-by-play and the voice of the New Jersey Devils, said, “Skyview has played an important role in helping us deliver a successful broadcast over the last three years. It was a natural decision to expand our partnership as we transition our audio broadcast exclusively on digital to Devils Hockey Network.”
