Since March 2015, she has served as the News Director for the ABC and CBS affiliates serving Springfield, Mass., and has spent the majority of her career at nearby WFSB-3 in Hartford, a former Meredith Local Media property.
Now, she’s earned a promotion in Western Massachusetts.
Patience Hettrick will now serve as Station Manager for Gray Television-owned WGGB-40, the ABC affiliate, and WSHM-LD, branded as “CBS 3” to align itself with WFSB.
She’ll retain her News Director role for the stations.
Hettrick reports to Dana Neves, GM for Gray’s properties in the Hartford and Springfield markets.
Hettrick will continue her role as an adjunct professor at
Middlesex Community College in Middletown,
Conn., a position she has held since 2006.
Hettrick’s early career roles also include stints as an Assignment Editor at WPEC-12 in West Palm Beach (1997-1998) and at WVIT-30 in Hartford-New Haven, the NBC affiliate (1996-1997).
She holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Hartford.
