Radio Disney Group is spinning off its Wichita KS station, KQAM-AM. It’s headed into a duopoly pairing under the tender loving care of Steckline Communications Inc.

Gregory R. Steckline’s regional group will pay $350K cash for the station. Radio Disney Group operates out of Dallas under President Drew Korzeniewski.

KQAM is currently playing Radio Disney, its CHR format aimed at younger listeners and their parents. It was part of the ABC radio station group the company kept when it sold most of its mainstream stations to Citadel a few years back.

Steckline is already active in Wichita with KGSO-AM, which specializes in Sports programming. It already has a relationship with the Mouse House – it carries ESPN Radio Network, in which Disney has a major stake.
