Stocks ended higher Friday, shaking off early losses after a disappointing existing home sales report, as some investors took the data as a factor that could delay the start of the Fed’s reduced bond purchases. The Dow rose nearly 47 points, or 0.3%, to 15,011, helped by a 7.8% rise in Microsoft.
The RBR Radio Index was up 11.922, or 1.8%, to 684.001.
The TVBR Television Index was up 8.099, or 1.2%, to 681.408.
