Stocks mostly rise after exit by Summers

Stocks mostly rose on Monday, with the S&P 500 Index gaining for a ninth session in 10, as Wall Street celebrated Larry Summers taking his name out of the running to head the Federal Reserve. The Dow rose 118.72 points, or 0.8%, to 15,494.78. The S&P 500.

The TVBR Television Index was down 4.261, or .6%, to 701.004.
