Strong earnings from JPMorgan Chase and expectations of more good reports to come sent stocks higher on Friday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 55 points, or 0.5%, to 11,787. Broadcasting stocks also had a good day.
US stock markets will be closed on Monday in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday.
The RBR Radio Index was up 2.035, or 0.6%, to 373.360.
The TVBR Television Index was up 0.629, or 0.3%, to 223.293.
