SummitMedia Rolls Tide With New Learfield Deal

University of Alabama Athletics and its multimedia rights holder, Learfield, have announced a five-year agreement with SummitMedia to become the official radio home of the Crimson Tide Sports Network in Birmingham.


This new partnership will align the University of Alabama includes branding and promotions of the Crimson Tide across all SummitMedia stations and partners, including the nationally syndicated Rick and Bubba Show on WZZK-FM 104.7 and the Rickey Smiley Show on WBHJ-FM 95.7 “JAMZ”.

Beginning this fall, fans will hear Crimson Tide football games with expanded pregame and postgame programming, Hey Coach and the Nick Saban Show and Crimson Tide Rewind live on 106.9 “The Eagle”; Crimson Tide men’s basketball and Hey Coach will air on “Play” 97.3 FM; and all UA women’s basketball and men’s varsity baseball games and the Crimson Tide Today daily show will be heard on both WENN-AM 1320 and WAGG-FM 100.1.

All Crimson Tide Sports Network broadcasts will also be simulcast on WENN and 95.7 HD2, providing AM, FM and HD radio coverage for the first time in Birmingham for all sports.

The Crimson Tide Sports Network will feature more than 80 radio affiliates across six states in the upcoming season, while Crimson Tide fans can also follow the Tide via the TuneIn radio app in addition to games broadcast live on SiriusXM radio.

The University of Alabama is one of nearly 130 collegiate institutions, conferences and arenas represented by Learfield.
