BOCA RATON, FLA. — In November 2008, a principal at Skyy Real Estate Marketing opened the doors to a national radio network through both English-language and Spanish-language affiliates across the U.S.

A decade later, he helped negotiate the sale of the company to Gen Media Partners.

Now, Jason Bailey is saying goodbye to Sun Broadcast Group.

Word of Bailey’s exit came on Labor Day via a statement released by Gen Media Partners. It said Bailey made the decision to move on from the network he founded “in order to focus his attention on his company Reatro Ventures,” the developer of affiliate research software under the ARC name.

Reatro is co-owned Bailey and former Sun COO Julio Aponte. His departure first became known on August 31, with the naming of Danno Wolkoff as COO at SBG. Aponte will also be taking a more active role in the start-up venture.

GMP Managing Partner Warren Friedland will take on the role of President of Sun Broadcast Group following Bailey’s departure.

“Today is bittersweet for me,” Bailey said. “I’m excited to join Julio and our team at Reatro to focus on the amazing software and app development projects we have on our plate. I’m also incredibly sad to leave my baby — Sun — for the very last time. It has been the honor of a lifetime to work with the great men and women at Sun these last 12 years. They are my family and will always be in my heart. I am certain that under the leadership of Warren along with new COO Danno Wolkoff, Sun will continue to shine bright for years to come.”

Friedland added, “We are excited to continue Sun’s growth, but fully appreciate that Jay has wanted to pursue his ambitions for Reatro for some time now. We wish him all the success in the world.”
