Wall Street reporters were noting just how skittish the herd is there, and the imminent failure of the Select Joint Committee of Deficit Reduction, along with continued woes in Europe, had the herd selling rather than buying. Broadcast stocks went with the flow, with only Dial-Global posting a gain.
The RBR Radio Index fell 16.381, or 5.2%, to 300.736.
The TVBR Television Index fell 10.288, or 4.3%, to 229.644.
