David Jacobs, President of Independence Media of California LLC, is picking up an old-fashioned AM-FM combo in the uniquely-situated city of Stockton CA. It’s position as the hub of a number of California markets allows the FM side of KSTN AM & FM into Sacramento, San Francisco and Modesto, as well as serving its home market. The seller is San Joaquin Broadcasting Company, headed by Robert LaRue. Greg Guy, a broker with Patrick Communications, says the transaction is a 24.25M stock deal. The FM is a Mexican outlet, and the AM plays Oldies.
