Emmy Award-winning television producer Burt Dubrow has been tapped to serve as the senior executive producer of TEGNA’s entertainment and news program Daily Blast LIVE (“DBL”) ,which crowdsources its content in real-time from viewers through social media.
“DBL” airs live in every time zone each weekday in 35 TEGNA-owned television markets and is live on Facebook and YouTube. It is produced out of TEGNA-owned KUSA-9 in Denver.
Dubrow most recently developed and produced Dr. Drew’s live nightly news program for HLN (formerly CNN Headline News). For six years he was its executive producer, responsible for creating a blend of daily news and trending topics.
Dubrow is also known for launching The Sally Jessy Raphael Show, which took a largely unknown broadcaster from a small market and grew the program to one of the most highly rated syndicated daytime talk series for most of its 18 years on the air.
He was also the executive producer for The Jerry Springer Show.
