How successful is TEGNA‘s syndicated Daily Blast LIVE entertainment program? No less than 14 non-TEGNA stations are adding the show to their respective lineups, as is TEGNA’s newly acquired CBS affiliate in San Diego.

As a result, come Sept. 10 DBL will be available in 50 markets across the U.S.

In addition to KFMB-8 in San Diego, DBL will now be seen on The E.W. Scripps Co.‘s WMYD-20 in Detroit; WMAR-2 in Baltimore; WRTV-6 in Indianapolis; KMCI-38 in Kansas City; and WTMJ-4 in Milwaukee; Raycom Media‘s WWBT-12 in Richmond; and Hearst Television’s WMUR-9 in Manchester, N.H.

DBL is distributed by Sony Pictures Television (SPT) under an agreement with TEGNA announced in January 2018. SPT distributes all TEGNA-owned, first-run programming, including DBL and Sister Circle, as well as shows in development.

Philip Martzolf, EVP of U.S. syndication sales at Sony Pictures Television, notes, “It’s been exciting to be part of the expansion of one of the most innovative series across daytime as it reaches TV, digital and social audiences with its diverse and entertaining points of view.”

The show’s expansion comes as it welcomes new hosts Beau Davidson, an actor and singer-songwriter; Briton Stefanie Jones, who worked with Fashion One TV; and retired pro football player Brandon London to the team. They join Erica Cobb, Al Jackson, Sam Schacher, Jeff Schroeder and Tory Shulman.

Daily Blast LIVE is billed as “an interactive TV and digital series,” produced in nine original, half-hour live shows daily for television and streaming via Facebook and YouTube in every U.S. time zone from 2pm-5pm and at 7:30pm Eastern each weekday.
