TEGNA’s Tidewater Take: WVEC To Get LPTV Siblings


Low-power TV stations are becoming increasingly popular among the biggest broadcast TV station groups, including Gray Television.

Now, the Northern Virginia-based company poised to be led by Deb McDermott once Standard General and Apollo Global Management complete their acquisition is grabbing a pair of LPTVs in Hampton Roads.

They’ll be paired with the TEGNA-owned ABC affiliate serving Norfolk.
