A STELAR Retrans Wrangling On Capitol Hill

WASHINGTON, D.C. — “This is World Series season,” Montana Sen. Jon Tester noted Wednesday during a heated exchange with a top executive at AT&T at a Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation hearing on STELAR reauthorization.

“The World Series is on TV. I watched it last night,” Tester continued. But, he added that when he goes home to his farm, the FOX station airing the games is “blacked out,” due to a lack of a retransmission fee agreement.

This set the stage for a lively discussion that saw Graham Media Group’s President/CEO offer her take on the increasingly bruising battle over retrans fees.
