Between Victoria, Tex., and the sprawling Houston metropolitan area is Bay City.

Here, a Class C1 “Hot Country” FM is getting a tweak in its ownership.

It is the result of the death of the station founder’s wife, who held 100% ownership in the station.

As such, Larry Sandlin will now be the owner of the station he operates, KMKS-FM 102.5 in Bay City.

It had been wholly owned by Margaret Sandlin, who died on May 8 at the age of 75.

Sandlin was admitted to Cornerstone Specialty Hospitals at the time of her passing. She had been suffering from cerebrovascular disease, hyperintensive heart disease and chronic respiratory failure.
