'The Celebrity Apprentice' ranked #1 key demo's for NBC

From 9-11 p.m. ET, “The Celebrity Apprentice” (2.9/8 in 18-49, 8.1 million viewers overall) grew week to week by 12 percent in 18-49 rating (2.9 vs. 2.6) and 6 percent in total viewers (8.083 million vs. 7.656 million) and tied for the #1 adult 18-49 rating Sunday night on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox (2.9 each for “Celebrity Apprentice” and ABC’s “Desperate Housewives”). 
 
“The Celebrity Apprentice” generated steady growth throughout its two-hour time period, increasing by 31 percent in 18-49 rating from its first half-hour to its fourth (to a 3.4 from a 2.6) and by 30 percent or 2.2 million persons in total viewers (to 9.4 million from 7.2 million).


 “Celebrity Apprentice” ranked #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in the two-hour time period in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and most other key demographics.  “The Celebrity Apprentice” built on its lead-in by 142 percent in 18-49 and 125 percent in total viewers.  “Celebrity Apprentice” was up by 61 percent versus NBC’s non-sports average in the time period earlier this season prior to the “Apprentice” debut in 18-49 rating (2.9 vs. 1.8).   

For its second hour from 10-11 p.m. ET, “The Celebrity Apprentice” ranked #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and all other key categories — adults, men and women 18-34; men and women 18-49; and adults, men and women 25-54, plus total viewers — versus original competition from CBS’s “Beyond the Blackboard” and ABC’s “Brothers & Sisters.”  From 10-11 p.m., “Celebrity Apprentice” tied or topped the ABC-CBS competition combined in adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and all key adult-male demos.  With a 3.2 rating from 10-11 p.m. in 18-49, “Celebrity Apprentice” delivered the top-rated hour of the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox.

The 3.2 rating from 10-11 p.m. ET in 18-49 for “Celebrity Apprentice” is the top result in the 10 p.m. hour for any telecast on ABC, CBS or NBC for the week of April 18-24.

In the 10:30 lead-in to local news, “The Celebrity Apprentice” generated a 75 percent margin of victory in the key news demographic of adults 25-54 (with a 4.2 rating vs. a 2.4 for ABC’s second-place “Brothers & Sisters”).  “Celebrity Apprentice” also led the 10:30 half-hour in all other key demographics — adults, men and women 18-34; adults, men and women 18-49; and men and women 25-54 — and beat the ABC-CBS competition combined in adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and all key adult-male demos.  The 4.2 rating is the highest 10:30 lead-in to local news in 25-54 for any telecast on ABC, CBS or NBC for the week of April 18-24.
 
From 8-9 p.m. ET, “America’s Next Great Restaurant” averaged a 1.2/3 in 18-49 and 3.6 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its second, “America’s Next Great Restaurant” grew in virtually all key ratings categories, including gains of 9 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.2 from a 1.1), 17 percent in women 18-49 (1.4 vs. 1.2) and 22 percent in men 18-34 (1.1 vs. 0.9).  “America’s Next Great Restaurant” built on its lead-in by 50 percent in adults 18-49.

From 7-8 p.m. ET, “Dateline NBC” delivered a 0.8/3 in 18-49 and 4.3 million viewers overall.  From its first half-hour to its second, “Dateline” grew 29 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 0.9 from a 0.7) and by 17 percent in total viewers (4.582 million vs. 3.922 million).
