The Dennis Miller Show celebrating four years with a bang

Westwood One’s The Dennis Miller Show will celebrate the anniversary of its debut on 3/31, featuring special guests Tom Hanks, Michael Douglas, Steve Martin and more. The show has added 35 new affiliates this year alone, including KSTE-AM Sacramento, WQRT-AM Cincinnati, KJCE-AM Austin, KKAR-AM Omaha.

Norm Pattiz, Courtside LLC CEO and Westwood One consultant/Chairman Emeritus, tells RBR-TVBR about how the show got started: “It all started like a lot of Westwood One deals involving me, courtside at a Lakers game. Dennis’ brother and I were chatting at halftime and the subject of Dennis doing a radio show came up. It seemed like a great idea. A meeting was set, Bart Tessler [WW1 EVP of Talk/News Programming] was brought in, and the rest is history. The show has become everything we thought it would be and more. And I’m not just saying that because Dennis is my neighbor in Montecito.”
