On Wednesday (11/30), RBR+TVBR shared exclusively the news that WSBH-FM 98.5, a top-rated standalone Classic Hits station serving Florida’s Space Coast, was being sold. Integral to the station’s success is the leadership of outsourced COO Jay Meyers.
Meyers has been involved with the Smith family’s broadcast radio assets for several years, and in May 2021 assisted in the sale of Class A FMs in Tallahassee and Stuart, Fla., respectively, to a religious broadcaster.
On that occasion, Meyers chatted with RBR+TVBR Editor-in-Chief Adam R Jacobson about the transaction, WSBH ownership and the trends for radio consumption and deals as Meyers sees it. His thoughts still resonate today, and can be heard in this encore InFOCUS Podcast, presented by dot.FM.
