“‘The View’ Special Edition — All My Children: Moving Pine Valley” –- As the popular daytime drama relocates to Los Angeles to continue its tradition of dazzling audiences with 40 years of groundbreaking storytelling, “The View” pays tribute with a one-hour celebration FRIDAY, DEC. 11 (11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, ET), featuring the show’s creator and television pioneer, Agnes Nixon, plus stars Susan Lucci, Debbi Morgan, Rebecca Budig, Cameron Mathison, Michael E. Knight, Vincent Irizarry and a very special surprise guest. As the cast prepares for their big move out West, something has gone terribly awry behind the scenes at “All My Children.” “View Tube” vignettes will feature additional stars from “All My Children,” as Sherri Shepherd and executive producer Bill Geddie recount the steps and try to help solve this (tongue in cheek) mystery. It’s an “All My Children” whodunit you won’t want to miss! 


Kyra Sedgwick (“The Closer”), Dr. Oz (“Dr. Oz Show”), Jenny McCarthy (“Santa Baby 2”), Rita Wilson (“Love, Loss & What I Wore” and “It’s Complicated”), Julianne Moore (“A Single Man”), Anika Noni Rose (Disney’s “The Princess & the Frog”) and music performances from Aretha Franklin and Boys Like Girls are also featured on “The View,” DEC. 7-11.

The program features Daytime Emmy® Award-winning hosts Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd. It’s the original forum in which real women discuss everyday issues, share their opinions and engage in colorful conversations. Since its launch, “The View” has received 28 Daytime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Talk Show and Outstanding Talk Show host honoring Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd. Daytime Emmy Award history was made on Aug. 30, 2009 when the hosts of “The View” were awarded the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Talk Show Host. It was the first time in the 36 year history of NATAS that multiple hosts were bestowed that honor in this category. “The View” has received 11 consecutive nominations for Outstanding Daytime Talk Show and 12 consecutive nominations for Outstanding Talk Show Host.

“The View” is broadcast in HDTV with 5.1-channel surround sound, and is now available to watch online daily at 4:00 p.m., ET/1:00 p.m., PT on the ABC Digital Full Episode Player at ABC.com. “The View” is produced by ABC Daytime and Ms. Walters’ Barwall Productions, with Ms. Walters serving as executive producer along with Bill Geddie, who also serves as executive producer for “The Barbara Walters Specials.” “The View” is directed by Mark Gentile. Musical performances produced and directed by Mark Gentile.
