A new series that “celebrates the Southern lifestyle” covering topics ranging from food and cooking to holidays and style will debut the weekend of April 3 and 4 across all of Meredith Corp.‘s owned and operated stations.
The show features host Ivy Odom, a Recipe Tester/Developer based in Birmingham, sharing recipes, decorating tips, home and gardening advice and more.
And, it is branded after one of Meredith’s more popular women’s lifestyle brands, Southern Living.
“The Southern Living Show” will air at various times across Saturday and Sunday on all 12 Meredith Local Media stations.
For Odom, hosting duties come on top of her role as host of the series Hey Y’All, a Southern Living program appearing on IGTV.
“’The Southern Living Show’ is a celebration of everything we love about the modern South,” says Sid Evans, Editor in Chief of Southern Living. “While the launch date was determined last year, we’re hopeful that the show will resonate with people at home right now, and we look forward to sharing Ivy’s fun, lighthearted take on all things Southern.”
In Atlanta, “The Southern Living Show” will air on WGCL-46 at 7pm Saturdays. This will come six hours after it airs on WPCH-17.
At NBC affiliate WSMV-4 in Nashville, the program can be seen Sundays at 11:30pm.
In Mobile, Meredith’s FOX affiliate, WALA-10, will broadcast the program on Saturdays at 9:30am.
For those in Greenville-Spartanburg, WHNS-TV “FOX Carolina” will air the show on Sundays at 7:30am.
And, just because the show is Southern themed doesn’t mean viewers in other markets will be unable to view it. Meredith stations in Springfield, Mass.; Flint, Mich.; Las Vegas; Kansas City; Hartford; Portland, Ore.; Phoenix; and St. Louis will also air the program.
That said, WFSB-3 in Hartford will clear “The Southern Living Show” by airing it at 3am Saturdays.
“I’m optimistic about the launch of the show’s regular season across all of our local markets,” said Patrick McCreery, Meredith Local Media Group President. “We’re pleased to provide content that’s not only entertaining, but also informative and actionable.”
