Just in time for the start of the college football season, the Big Ten Network announced that it had an agreement in principle for cable carriage by Time Warner Cable. Terms were not disclosed, but the cable net is to be carried on the expanded basic tier in states with Big Ten conference universities. It also included HD and VOD programming. Time Warner Cable had been the biggest MSO holdout after the biggest of all, Comcast, finally came to terms with the Big Ten Network earlier this year. The Big Ten Network is a joint venture of the Big Ten conference and Fox Broadcasting.
