Telemundo Career Woman Rises On Rocky Road

A “proven leader in the media industry with over 18 years of progressive experience in Spanish-language broadcast, digital, and integrated sales and marketing” has just been named President/GM of the Telemundo O&O serving the Mile High City.


Consider it a sort of homecoming: This person joined NBCUniversal Owned TV Stations in her senior year of college at the University of Colorado in Boulder.

Colorado native Tatiana Argüello has been named President/GM of Telemundo O&O KDEN-TV in Denver. She’ll begin her new duties on May 6, after transitioning from her position of Director of Local and Regional Sales at NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations.

In her new role, Argüello will be responsible for leading all station operations including news/digital, sales, marketing/promotions, human resources, community affairs, and technology/operations.

Argüello will report to Telemundo Station Group President Manuel Martinez, who calls Argüello “a consummate professional.”

He says, “She is smart and driven and thrives on mentoring her teams to achieve successful business outcomes while helping to foster their professional growth. I am excited she will lead Telemundo Denver.”

Argüello returns to Telemundo Denver after launching her career in local broadcast at KDEN as an intern in early 2001. She took on her current position earlier this year, and had been Telemundo Station Group’s Northeast National Sales Director since 2014.

Argüello from 2008 to 2014 was based in New York, where she served as NSM for Telemundo O&O WNJU-47.

Argüello is a member of the development program called “She Leads” that was launched by the NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations division in 2018 for high potential NBC/Telemundo owned station female sales leaders to provide them with the mentoring, tools and exposure they need to acquire leadership roles within the owned stations division and NBCUniversal.
