Transtar founder Terry Robinson has died


RBR-TVBR received word Thursday (9/8) that C.T. “Terry” Robinson had died. Robinson had been in hospice care after being diagnosed with cancer just a few weeks ago.

Funeral arrangements were not immediately available.

Robinson and fellow station owner Bill Moyes founded Transtar Radio Networks in 1981. The company was merged with United Stations Radio Network in 1989 to create Unistar, which was subsequently acquired by Westwood One. The 24/7 format network are currently operated by Dial-Global.
