Sam Zell had been expected to name a buyer for the Chicago Cubs and Wrigley Field this week and reports were circulating late Thursday that it would be the Ricketts family. Chicago financier Tom Ricketts, son of the founder of TD Ameritrade, is leading the family bidding group, which had been one of the finalists. The bid is rumored to have come in under the $1 billion mark – more like $900 million.
