A favorable report on retail sales gave Wall Street reason to celebrate after Monday’s sell-off. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 123 points, or 1%, to 12,076. Retail sales are an important driver af advertising, so broadcasting stocks had a good day.
The RBR Radio Index was up 9.319, or 2.8%, to 339.274.
The TVBR Television Index was up 6.423, or 2.7%, to 245.004.
