Weekdays between 4pm and 6pm local time, he is usually heard hosting his program on “The Progressive Voice of Minnesota,” independently owned KTNF-AM 950 in Minneapolis-St. Paul.

On Friday, he was recovering from a vehicular incident that occurred while driving home from the radio station following his Thursday shift. While the injuries are serious, “he will recover.”

The accident involves Matt McNeil, whose vehicle was rear-ended. In an interview with blog Bring Me The News, McNeil shared, “I was on Crosstown at 494, at the traffic light. I had stopped and was waiting for the light, heard some squealing tires and wham. A driver rammed me. I knew right away I was hurt. I should recover … It feels like I took a sledgehammer to the back.”

At the time his KTNF shift was supposed to begin, McNeil was on Twitter, where he said, “Thanks for all the well wishes and kind words. It’s made a really bad day better.”
