Two more for EMF

Religious non-com Educational Media Foundation is striking in and beyond the reserved band with a pair of very different transactions.

By far the more significant of the two is the $1.25M acquisition of KXPC-FM from Portland Broadcasting, owned by Christopher F. Devine. The station, silent at the moment, is licensed to Lebanon OR, and although the community is about 60 miles or so south of the city referenced in the licensee name, the station is licensed as a Class C with 90 kw and a tower over 2,000 feet HAAT at its disposal. EMF will pay $500K of the price up front and cut a $750K promissory note for the rest.

The other station is for a DIY project in Jackson MO, a community not far from Cape Giradeau in the southeast corner of the state. EMF will pay I.G.W.T. Community Radio $10K for the CP, for a Class C3 on 89.9 MHz with 9.9 kw on a 328’ HAAT stick.
