Although an initial public offering won’t be seen, Univision Communications continues to share its quarterly financial performance with those outside of its corporate offices in New York and the Miami suburb of Doral, Fla.
Unfortunately, the timing of Univision’s Q1 earnings release couldn’t be worse. The beleaguered company is gearing up for its two-day experiential event as part of Upfront Week, which starts Monday in midtown Manhattan. At the same time, it is dealing with an explosive lengthy exposé from Gizmodo that trashes its corporate owner, using obscenities even in the story’s headline.
That makes a bad financial quarter even worse for a company that could use some good news.
