CC Radio’s Total Traffic Network (CCTTN) announced that it has reached an agreement with Volvo Cars of Canada to provide its real-time traffic info service to Canadian Volvo vehicle owners. Owners of a 2009 XC90, S40, V50, C70, C30, S80, XC70 and V70 vehicle equipped with a factory-installed navigation system will have access to the traffic information over RDS-TMC (Radio Data System Traffic Message Channel). Drivers will be better able to plan their drive routes by avoiding road obstructions and reducing unnecessary fuel consumption common to heavy stop-and-go traffic. The service will be provided to Canadian Volvo owners without additional charge.
