Expectations of good news as the quarterly earnings report cycle gets into full swing gave most stock prices a boost on Friday. The Dow Industrials rose 78 points, or 0.8%, to 9,865. TV stocks joined in, while radio was more flattish. By the way, the stock markets are open today, although federal offices, such as the FCC, are closed for Columbus Day.
The RBR Radio Index slipped 0.018, or 0.01%, to 147.047.
The TVBR Television Index rose 2.575, or 2.2%, to 119.725.
