Week 1: Univision delivers most growth

In the first week of the 2010-11 Season, Univision had the most growth compared to ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX versus the opening week of the season last year in overall primetime among Total Viewers 2+ (+9%), Adults 18-49 (+11%) and Adults 25-54 (+10%)  Additionally, among Adults 18-34 (+10%) Univision tied with CBS on growth versus the prior year.
 
Univision began the 2010-11 Season as the #5 broadcast network in overall primetime among Total Viewers 2+ (4.0 million), Adults 18-49 (2.1 million) and Adults 18-34 (1.2 million); beating CW.  Among Kids 2-11 (508,000), Univision was the #1 broadcast  network last week; out-delivering its closest competitor, FOX, by +13%.
 
Last week, Univision out-delivered ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX 3 out of 7 nights among Adults 18-34; on 2 out of 7 nights among Adults 18-49 and on 4 out of 7 nights among Teens 12-17. 
  
On Friday, Univision was the #1 most-watched broadcast network in primetime among Adults 18-34 (1.3 million) and Teens 12-17 (181,000); ranked #2, behind CBS, among Adults 18-49 (2.3 million) and ranked #3 among Total Viewers 2+ (4.1 million).


The top three most watched programs on Friday night among Adults 18-34 were Univision’s #1 “Soy Tu Dueña” (Woman of Steel), #2 “Hasta Que El Dinero Nos Separe” (For Love or Money) and #3 “La Rosa De Guadalupe” (The Rose of Guadalupe).  Additionally, “Soy Tu Dueña” (Woman of Steel) was the #2 program on Friday night among Adults 18-49.

In the first week of the season, “Hasta Que El Dinero Nos Separe” (For Love or Money) helped Univision attain the #3 position in the 8pm hour among Adults 18-34 (1.5 million); beating ABC, NBC and CW.

Last week, “Soy Tu Dueña” (Woman of Steel), made Univision the #3 most-watched network in the 9pm hour among Adults 18-34 (1.8 million), Women 18-34 (937,000); and ranked #4, beating FOX and CW, among Total Viewers 2+ (5.8 million), Adults 18-49 (3.2 million) and Women 18-49 (1.7 million).  On a nightly basis the novela was also among the top 10 broadcast programs among Adults 18-34.

“Sábado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) helped Univision attain the #3 position on Saturday night among Adults 18-34 (617,000) and Teens 12-17 (98,000); and ranked #4 among Adults 18-49 (1.1 million).

The third episode of “¡Mira Quién Baila!” (Look Who’s Dancing!) delivered 3.3 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.7 million Adults 18-49, 841,000 Adults 18-34 and 965,000 Persons 12-34.  For the week, Univision’s dance reality competition delivered more Adults 18-34 than such high profile English-language shows as FOX’s “Lone Star” and “Good Guys;” NBC’s “Apprentice 10” and “Outlaw;” “ABC’s “The Whole Truth” and Friday’s “Modern Family ;” CBS’s “Blue Bloods” and “Medium;” and CW’s “One Tree Hill” and “Nikita” among others.
