A Rebroadcast of “NCIS” is the Week’s Top Scripted Program in Viewers; “Blue Bloods” Ranks #2 and a Rebroadcast of “The Big Bang Theory” is the
 Top Comedy

CBS won the week in viewers on the strength of holiday-themed specials, the Grammy nominations concert and primarily rebroadcasts of its scripted comedies and dramas, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Dec. 4.

For the week in viewers:  CBS (8.95m), FOX (8.62m), NBC (7.28m) and ABC (6.45m).  Season-to-date:  CBS (12.67m), ABC (9.76m), FOX (9.44m) and NBC (7.38m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was second in adults 25-54 (2.9/07) and averaged 2.2/06 in adults 18-49.  Season-to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 (4.4/11) and tied with FOX for first in adults 18-49 (3.4/09, each).  Season-to-date, CBS is up +4% in households, +2% in viewers, +5% in adults 25-54 and +6% in adults 18-49.

For the week in households:  CBS (5.6/09), FOX (5.1/08), NBC (4.6/07) and ABC (4.0/06).  Season-to-date:  CBS (7.9/13), ABC (6.3/10), FOX (5.6/09) and NBC (4.7/08). 

CBS Weekly Highlights:

RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER (R) (S) (8:00-9:01PM) was first in households (6.8/10), viewers (12.64m), adults 25-54 (5.0/12), adults 18-49 (4.0/11), children 2-11 (5.5/17) and children 6-11 (4.8/14).   RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER posted its best deliveries in households, viewers and adults 25-54 since Dec. 4, 2007, best adults 18-49 rating since Dec. 3, 2008.  Compared to last year’s broadcast (on the same night last year), RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER was up +8% in households (from 6.3/10), +4% in adults 25-54 (from 4.8/12), +3% in adults 18-49 (from 3.9/11), down -8% in children 2-11 (from 6.0/18), -14% in children 6-11 (from 5.6/17) and added +410,000 viewers (from 12.23m, +3%).  RUDOLPH was the week’s second-highest rated entertainment program in viewers and adults 18-49 (tie).

VICTORIA’S SECRET FASHION SHOW (S) won its time slot in households (6.5/11), viewers (10.39m), adults 25-54 (3.7/09), adults 18-49 (4.6/12) and adults 18-34 (5.2/14).  VICTORIA’S SECRET FASHION SHOW posted the best Monday to Friday 10:00 PM adults 18-34 delivery this season for any network, second-best adults 18-49 performance (behind the CMAs).  VICTORIA’S SECRET FASHION SHOW posted its best households delivery since 2003, best viewers performance to 2002, best adults 25-54 rating since 2005 and best adults 18-49 and adults 18-34 ratings to-date.  Compared to last year’s broadcast (on the same night last year), VICTORIA’S SECRET FASHION SHOW was up +16% in both households (from 5.6/10) and adults 25-54 (from 3.2/08), +35% in adults 18-49 (from 3.4/09), +44% in adults 18-34 (from 3.6/11) and added +1.42m viewers (from 8.97m, +16%).  VICTORIA’S SECRET FASHION SHOW was the week’s top-rated entertainment program in both adults 18-49 and adults 18-34.

NCIS 9:00 PM SPECIAL (R) (S) (9:01-10:00 PM) was first in households (8.2/12), viewers (13.37m), adults 25-54 (3.8/08) and second in adults 18-49 (2.8/07). NCIS was the top scripted program of the week.

SURVIVOR: SOUTH PACIFIC was first in households (6.6/10), viewers (11.04m), second in adults 25-54 (4.2/11, -0.1 behind FOX) and adults 18-49 (3.1/09). 

GRAMMY’S NOMINATION CONCERT (S) was tied for first in adults 18-34 (1.4/04, with NBC), second in households (3.7/06), viewers (5.68m), adults 25-54 (2.3/06) and adults 18-49 (1.9/05).  Compared to last year’s event (on the same night in 2010), CBS was up +16% in households (from 3.2/06), +15% in adults 25-54 (from 2.0/05), +12% in adults 18-49 (from 1.7/05), +8% in adults 18-34 (from 1.3/04) and added +670,000 viewers (from 5.01m, +13%). 

A GIFTED MAN was first in households (5.3/09), viewers (8.01m), adults 25-54 (1.9/06) and adults 18-49 (1.3/04).  A GIFTED MAN was even in adults 18-49 compared to the last first-run episode on Nov. 18, 2011.
 
CSI: NY was first in households (6.3/10), viewers (9.76m), adults 25-54 (2.2/06) and second in adults 18-49 (1.4/04, -0.1 behind FOX’s football). 

BLUE BLOODS was first in households (6.9/12), viewers (11.05m), adults 25-54 (2.4/06) and adults 18-49 (1.6/05).  BLUE BLOODS was the night’s #1 program in households, viewers and adults 25-54.       

THE GOOD WIFE was second in households (6.4/09) and viewers (9.94m), up +2% in households (from 6.3/10), +8% in adults 25-54 (2.8/06 from 2.6/05), even in adults 18-49 (1.9/04) and added +140,000 viewers (from 9.80m, +1%) from the last first-run episode (on Nov. 20, 2011). 

CSI: MIAMI was second in households (6.8/11), viewers (10.43m), adults 25-54 (2.9/07) and adults 18-49 (2.1/05).  Compared to the last first-run episode (on Nov. 20), CSI: MIAMI was up +10% in households (from 6.2/11), +12% in adults 25-54 (from 2.6/07), +11% in adults 18-49 (from 1.9/05) and added +870,000 viewers (from 9.56m, +9%).  CSI: MIAMI posted its best households ratings and largest audience since Oct. 16, 2011.
