Univision finishes the week as the #4 broadcast network among Adults 18-34, out-delivering ABC by +20%

Univision’s “¡Mira Quién Baila!” is a top pick for Viewers on Sunday nights, outpacing its prior season performance

Univision finished the week as the #4 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 out-delivering ABC by +20%.

Thus far in 2011, Univision is the #2 broadcast network in this demographic, averaging more Adults 18-34 viewers than ABC (+2%), CBS (+15%), and NBC (+9%).

Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on every night last week among Adults 18-34 and on five out of seven nights among Adults 18-49.

Univision showed the biggest Adults 18-49 audience increase (+7%) vs. the same week last season among top five broadcast networks.

Season-to-date, Univision is one of only two top five broadcast networks to show season-to-season increases among Adults 18-49.

Airing the finale of Teresa and premiering its new novela, “Una Familia Con Suerte,” from 8PM- 9PM, Univision was the #2 network for the week among Adults 18-34. 

From 9PM to 10PM airing “La Fuerza del Destino”, Univision ranked as the #2 broadcast network for the week among Adults 18-34.

On Sunday night Univision’s “¡Mira Quién Baila!” was among the top 5 programs for the night among Adults 18-34 and among the top 10 for Adults 18-49.  The second season continues to outpace its prior season performance among Total Viewers 2+ (+10%), Adults 18-49 (+14%) and Adults 18-34 (+17%).

Univision was the #1 network for the sixth consecutive Friday among Adults 18-49 and for the 28th consecutive Friday night among Adults 18-34. Univision’s entire primetime line-up ranked as the top 3 programs for the night among Adults 18-34.

“La Fuerza del Destino” ranked as the #1 program Friday night among Adults 18-34 (1.4 Million) and was the #2 program among Adults 18-49 (2.4 Million).

Univision’s newest novela, “Familia Con Suerte,” was the #3 program among Adults 18-49 (2.2 Million) and #2 among Adults 18-34 (1.3 Million).  “La Fuerza del Destino” delivered more Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 viewers than the entire line-ups on FOX (“Kitchen Nightmare’s” and “Fringe”) and CW (“Nikita” and “Supernatural”) as well as CBS’s “Gifted Man” and “CSI: NY.”

Univision kicked off the week as the #1 network Monday night among Adults 18-34 and ranked as #3 among Adults 18-49. Univision’s entire primetime line-up ranked among the top ten programs for the night among Adults 18-34.

Univision’s two-hour grand finale of its 8p novela, “Teresa”, reached 10.3 million viewers and delivered an average audience of 7.7 million Total Viewers 2+, 2.5 Million Adults 18-49, and 2.7 Million Adults 18-34.  The “Teresa” finale ranks as the #3 novela finale of all time on Univision network among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49, and Adults 18-34. “Teresa” ranked among the top programs for the night among Adults 18-49 (#6) and Adults 18-34 (#3) and out-delivered the entire Monday night primetime line-ups on FOX, NBC, and ABC among Adults 18-34. 

At 10PM Univision aired the highest telecast in the history of “Don Francisco Presenta” (Don Francisco Presents) since its premiere in October 2001, delivering 5.3 million Total Viewers 2+, 3.1 million Adults 18-49, and 1.8 million Adults 18-34. Univision was the #1 Broadcast Network in the time period among Adults 18-34 and ranked as the #3 Broadcast Network among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49 delivering more viewers than the entire line-up on NBC.

 On Tuesday night Univision’s entire primetime line-up, including the premiere of its newest 8PM novela, “Una Familia Con Suerte,”  ranked among the top 15 programs among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

Univision’s novela premiere of “Una Familia Con Suerte” attracted 4.2 million Total Viewers 2+, 2.5 million Adults 18-49, and 1.5 million Adults 18-34 and was the sixth highest-rated program on all of television last night with more Adult 18-34 viewers than the entire line-ups on ABC (“Dancing With The Stars-Special,” “Dancing With The Stars-Results” and “Body of Proof), NBC (“The Biggest Loser” and “Parenthood”) and CW (“90210” and “Ringer) as well as CBS’ “NCIS: Los Angeles” and “Unforgettable.”

The novela premiere helped Univision ranked as the #3 network for the night among Adults 18-34 out-delivering ABC and NBC.

Univision finished Thursday night as the #2 network among Adults 18-34 out-delivering ABC, CBS, and NBC for the night.

Univision’s primetime line-up ranked within the top 20 programs for the entire night among Adults 18-49 including “La Fuerza Del Destino” (#9), “Una Familia Con Suerte” (#11) and “Mujeras Asesinas” (#17).

“Mujeras Asesinas” also generated audience growth compared to the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (+2%), Adults 18-49 (+3%), and Adults 18-34 (+9%) and helped Univision rank as the #2 network for the night among Adults 18-34.

On Saturday night Univision aired the #3 program for the night for the second consecutive week among Adults 18-34, “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday).  Airing “Sabado Gigante,” Univision secured the #3 position for the night among Adults 18-34 out delivering CBS (+69%) and NBC (+262%)
