Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of May 9, 2011 to May 15, 2011

Univision was the #4 broadcast network in primetime, out-delivering NBC for the entire week with 960,000 Adult 18-34 viewers.

Univision has out-delivered ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox among Adults 18-34 for the entire week 68% of the time (23 out of 34 weeks season-to-date).

For the 30th time (out of 34 weeks) so far this season, Univision was the #1 network among Adults 18-34 on Friday night airing the top 2 most-watched programs on broadcast television with #1 “Triunfo del Amor” (Triumph of Love) and #2 “Teresa.”

Univision also finished as the fifth most-watched network for the entire week in primetime among Adults 18-49 (1.8 million) and Total Viewers 2+ (3.5 million).

Season-to-Date, Univision continues to post year-to-year primetime audience increases among Adults 18-49 (+8%) while the English-language broadcast networks are reporting audience declines (ABC -9%, CBS -8%, NBC -14%, and FOX -5%); Univision’s audience also increased among Total Viewers 2+ (+7%) and Adults 18-34 (+7%).

Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-Language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on three out of seven nights last week among Adults 18-49 and on five out of seven nights among Adults 18-34.

 Thus far in 2011, Univision has out-performed NBC on one out of two nights among Adults 18-49 (69 out of 140 nights) and on two out of three nights among Adults 18-34 (96 out of 140 nights).

During the 10PM to 11PM hour, Univision’s novela “Triunfo del Amor” garnered the #3 spot for the network this past week among Adults 18-34.

Airing “Teresa” from 8PM to 10PM, Univision ranked as the #4 broadcast network for the week among Adults 18-34.

On Saturday night, “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) made Univision the #3 broadcast network, out-delivering CBS and NBC among Adults 18-34 (473,000). 

Sunday night’s telecast of Univision’s “Nuestra Belleza Latina” semi-finals delivered its highest audience levels this season attracting 3.8 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.1 million Adults 18-49, and 2 million Adults 18-34 viewers.
