Univision was the #3 broadcast network in primetime among Adults 18-49, out-delivering ABC and CBS for the entire week.


Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of June 13, 2011 to June 19, 2011.

Univision was the #3 broadcast network in primetime among Adults 18-49, out-delivering ABC (+28%) and for the fourth consecutive week out-delivered CBS (+37%).

Univision also out-delivered ABC (+88%) and CBS (+169%) for the entire week among Adults 18-34.

Univision ranked #1 on Friday night among Adults 18-34 for the 11th consecutive Friday airing the top three most watched programs on broadcast television with #1 “Triunfo del Amor” (Triumph of Love), #2 “Teresa,” and #3 “Rosa de Guadalupe.”

Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on every night last week among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

Thus far in 2011, Univision continues to be the #3 broadcast network averaging more Adults 18-34 viewers than CBS and NBC

Season-to-Date, Univision continues to post year-to-year primetime audience increases among Adults 18-49 (+8%) while the English-language broadcast networks are reporting audience declines (ABC -8%, CBS -9%, NBC -13%, and FOX -5%); Univision’s audience also increased among Total Viewers 2+ (+7%) and Adults 18-34 (+7%).

Compared to the same week a year ago, Univision’s audience continues to increase among Total Viewers 2+ (+8%), Adults 18-49 (+13%), and Adults 18-34 (+8%)

From 9PM to 10PM, Univision’s novela “Triunfo del Amor” garnered the #2 spot for the network this past week among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

Airing “Teresa” from 8PM to 9PM, Univision ranked as the #3 broadcast network for the week among Adults 18-49 and #2 among Adults 18-34.

On Thursday night Univision’s new dramatic series ” El Equipo” premiered as the #1 program from 10-11PM among Adults 18-34 and delivered more Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34, and Total Viewers 2+ than NBC’s first-run episode of “Love Bites.”

In its third week of Copa Oro 2011, Univision aired Saturday night’s Mexico vs. Guatemala match at 8PM ET and Sunday night’s Panama vs. El Salvador match at 6PM ET.  Univision’s coverage of the 2011 Copa Oro to-date continues to outpace Copa Oro 2009 to-date performance among Total Viewers 2+ (+35%), Adults 18-49 (+36%), and Adults 18-34 (+32%). 

Airing Mexico vs. Guatemala on Saturday, Univision was the #1 broadcast network for the night among Adults 18-49 (2.3 Million) and Adults 18-34 (1.4 Million) viewers.  The match attracted 4.3 Million Total Viewers 2+ and was the #1 program of the night ahead of every other primetime telecasts regardless of language including FOX’s season finale of “America’s Most Wanted” and CBS’ first run “Crimetime”.  The #2 ranked sports telecast this week out delivered NBC’s coverage of the Stanley Cup Finals Game #6, US Open, as well as Baseball on FOX and the Indy Car Series on ABC among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

Sunday Night’s Mexico Panama vs. El Salvador helped Univision to the #2 spot among Adults 18-49 (1.5 Million) and rank #3 among Adults 18-34 (757,000).  Averaging 2.6 Million Total Viewers 2+, the match is the second most watched non-Mexico Gold Cup match ever on the network behind only the 2005 final between USA and Panama

On Sunday night, Univision aired the two hour premiere of its new talent competition “Pequeños Gigantes” (Little Giants) making Univision the #2 broadcast network for the night among Adults 18-49 (2.2 Million) and #3 among Adults 18-34 (1.2 Million).
