Week 6: Univision repeatedly topped English competition

Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on six out of seven nights last week among Adults 18-34 and on five out of seven nights among Adults 18-49.


* Thus far in 2011, Univision is the #2 broadcast network among Adults 18-34, averaging more viewers in this demographic than ABC (+1%), CBS (+13%), and NBC (+7%).

* Univision was the #2 network Friday night among Adults 18-34 and ranked #3 among Adults 18-49.

* Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 10 programs for Adults 18-34 including the #2 program “Familia Con Suerte” and #4 ““La Fuerza del Destino.” 

* Sunday night’s “¡Mira Quién Baila!” ranked among the top 15 programs for the night among Adults 18-34 and was #16 for Adults 18-49.  The second season continues to outpace its prior season performance among Total Viewers 2+ (+5%), Adults 18-49 (+5%) and Adults 18-34 (+11%).

* “Aqui Y Ahora” ranked within the top 15 programs on Tuesday night among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.  The telecast featured interviews with Salma Hayek and Antonio Banderas and built its audience compared to the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (2 Million, +17%) and Adults 18-49 (1.1 Million, +9%).

* Univision finished Wednesday night as the #2 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 and ranked as the #3 network among Adults 18-49.

* Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked within the top 15 programs for the night among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

* On Saturday night Univision aired the #3 program for the night among Adults 18-34, “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) and secured the #3 position for the night among Adults 18-34 out delivering NBC (+151%) and CBS (+44%).
