PORTLAND, ORE. — For many residents of Oregon’s biggest metropolitan area, an oceanfront jaunt to such locales as Newport and Lincoln City is a common and popular way to escape the summer heat and put on a wet suit.
Serving much of this region is a Class C2 FM offering a wide mix of Classic Hits under a brand made popular in the 1960s: “Boss Radio.”
It’s a sibling to a Class C Talker primarily serving Newport from the town of Toledo, Ore., and both properties have just been sold. The buyer is a 50/50 partnership between Christopher Jacky and veteran radio operator Thomas D. Hodgins that’s been active over the last two years as a station trader.
