This Sunday: As a critical week for health care reform approaches, how will President Obama convince members of his own party to finally pass a bill? What changes is he willing to accept in order to get the needed votes? And if the President fails on this priority, how will it impact the rest of his agenda and Democratic prospects this November? We’ll ask the President’s Senior Adviser, David Axelrod.
Then, all eyes are on the Democrats in Congress. Can the House and Senate work out their differences on health care reform? Will Democratic leaders be able to find enough votes to pass reform or will the legislation fall victim to intraparty politics? We’ll ask the two men charged with rounding up their party’s votes: House Democratic Whip Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) and Senate Democratic Whip Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL).
Plus, he’s the man many credit with President George W. Bush’s rise to the White House, and now he’s the author of a new memoir “Courage and Consequence.” This Sunday, former senior adviser to Pres. Bush, Karl Rove recounts his role in the Bush presidency; the tactics the administration used in the White House and on the campaign trail; the run-up to the Iraq War; and the current state of his Republican Party.
Finally, a busy week in Washington: Congress continues to struggle over health care reform, while ethics scandals plague the Democratic party. What will it all mean for the Obama agenda and the 2010 midterm elections? Plus, fallout from the Vice President’s trip to Israel — how will it impact the Mideast peace process? We’ll have insights and analysis from our roundtable: two noted New York Times columnists, David Brooks and Tom Friedman.

“Meet the Press” is seen on the NBC Television Network from 9-10 a.m. ET in most markets. In Washington D.C. and New York City, the broadcast is seen from 10:30-11:30 a.m. ET.
