An AM radio station serving a portion of New York’s Long Island saw its license expire, and then reinstated. This paved the way for its sale to Radio Cantico Nuevo parent Cantico Nuevo Ministry, the New Jersey-based broadcast ministry led by Erick Salgado.
The license transfer didn’t sit well with a LMA partner-turned-competitor of the company that sold this born-again AM. As such, a Petition for Reconsideration was filed in December 2019 challenging the license reinstatement.
That petition was just denied.
