As RBR+TVBR first reported Tuesday, H.R. 1865 was approved by the House of Representatives. That’s the “Further Consolidated Appropriations Act,” which provides the funding necessary for the Federal Government to keep the lights on past Friday.

The legislation needs Senate approval by the end of the week to avert a shutdown, and it is likely. As such, STELA legislation championed by the House Energy & Commerce Committee is set to become law. Retiring Committee Ranking Member Greg Walden is pleased.
