After weeks of anticipation and tens of thousands of nominations, on today’s “LIVE! with Regis and Kelly” the ten finalists in LIVE’s “Women of Radio Co-Host for a Day Search” were announced. Viewers will decide which four will join Regis Philbin as guest co-hosts August 17-20, 2010.

Back in June, Philbin and Ripa asked home viewers for their help in finding guest co-hosts to join Philbin August 17-20, when Ripa will be on vacation, inviting the LIVE audience to nominate their favorite local radio broadcasters to join Philbin as a guest co-host for a day.
The search was open to female radio broadcasters with regularly scheduled shows of any kind, including music, sports, news, plus traffic reporters and weathercasters. After receiving tens of thousands of nominations, LIVE’s producers narrowed the field to the Top 100, and today announced the ten finalists live on air. Now it’s again up to the viewers, this time to vote on the four broadcasters who will fly to New York to act as guest co-host next week. Voting began today at LiveRegisandKelly.com and will remain open until 9:00 pm Eastern Wednesday, August 11, with the final guest co-hosts to be announced on Thursday’s show.
Viewers can vote every day, and they’ll get more than the chance to possibly see their favorite local radio personality on LIVE – everyone who submitted a nomination or who votes for the four co-hosts will have the opportunity to win one of ten Krups home appliance gift packages by random drawing.
