Chattanooga (WDEF) UTC is looking to combine their public radio station with the local PBS affiliate, according to Current.org. The move could include the two entities sharing a single facility. With the radio station already undergoing budget cuts, UTC is trying to relieve it of about $5.8 million dollars of cuts. However, WTCI GM Paul Grove is skeptical, saying his organization doesn’t have the money to subsidize the radio station. Still, UTC has formed a task force to explore the possibilities.
