The novel coronavirus, from mid-March through the end of May, enveloped America – and the world. We were asked to stay home, and be vigilant in “flattening the curve.” As June 1 arrived, the damage COVID-19 has brought to the United States can be seen in multiple ways. A shaky economy, and lost jobs, have been a focal point over the last 10 weeks in how the coronavirus has negatively impacted the nation.
What hadn’t been placed in the spotlight were the heroes who have risked their own health – and have made adjustments to how they do their work – to best provide consumers in local communities across America with the vital information they need.
America’s broadcast media, television and radio, are to be thanked for the amazing efforts they have done to keep their stations on the air – and the news flowing.
It is with this emphasis that we presented the RBR+TVBR Coronavirus InFOCUS limited podcast series, hosted by Adam R Jacobson, the Editor-in-Chief of the Radio + Television Business Report.
