Larkin Leads Gotham For Entercom

What a difference a year makes. In March 2017, Susan Larkin served as a Regional VP for Cox Media Group‘s stations in Orlando and Jacksonville. Four months later, she exited the company and joined Entercom as an Regional President, eventually settling in San Francisco to oversee the company’s Bay Area cluster and Sacramento stations.

Larkin will no longer have to deal with a difficult Northern California housing market. Instead, she’ll have to contend with the housing prices of the New York Tri-State Area.

Starting April 9, Larkin will officially assume the Market Manager role for Entercom/New York.

But, she’ll be bi-coastal: Larkin is not giving up her role as Regional President for Sacramento and San Francisco.

“We are thrilled to have Susan take on the role for Entercom/New York,” said Entercom COO Weezie Kramer. “She has demonstrated incredible leadership skills and is a strong, strategic player who builds great teams and drives outstanding results. With her energy and experience, there is no better person to take on the management responsibility in America’s No. 1 media market.”

Larkin, a native New Yorker, commented, “It is exciting to be home and at the center of the media universe, representing some of Entercom’s most iconic brands, including 1010 WINS and WFAN.” Entercom’s stations in New York also include WCBS-AM & FM, WNEW-FM “Fresh 102.7” and WBMP-FM “Alt 92.3.”

NEMITZ, FEDERMAN NAMED TO NEW ROLES

Concurrent with Larkin’s shift to Manhattan, Gregory Nemitz has been upped to SVP/Market Manager for Entercom/San Francisco, reporting to Larkin.

He has been VP/Director of Sales of Entercom/S.F. since November 2017 and served as VP/Director of Sales under CBS Radio from February 2005 through the company’s merger with Entercom.

The VP/Director of Sales role is now going to Kieran Geffert. She rises from the role of cluster GSM.

The appointments are effective April 1.

Entercom has also given regional oversight of its Southern California markets to Los Angeles President/Market Manager Jeff Federman. He’ll now oversee stations in San Diego, Riverside-San Bernardino and in Palm Springs. Federman returned to radio in November 2017 after a decade away, holding roles in the digital realm. His radio experience includes roles as Director of Sales for KPWR-FM “Power 106” in L.A. under Emmis Communications ownership, and as SVP/Market Manager for CBS Radio/Los Angeles from January 2004-August 2008.
