With iGaming Deal Done, Entercom Bets On ‘BETQL’ Launch

On November 9, sports data and iGaming affiliate platform QL Gaming Group (QLGG) officially became a sibling to KROQ and the Radio.com audio streaming platform, as Entercom Communications closed on its all-cash purchase of QLGG.


Now, Entercom has launched an audio network that includes broadcast radio stations and its Radio.com platform expressly for the sports gaming community.

Introducing the “BetQL Audio Network.” The network, Entercom says, will feature sports gambling programming heard across its portfolio of sports stations, and the Radio.com app and digital platform.

The network will be headlined by “You Better You Bet,” hosted by Nick Kostos and Ken Barkley, and “BetQL Daily,” helmed by Joe Ostrowski and Ross Tucker.

The latter program was launched in September 2020 and formerly known as “BetSweats.”

Network programming will also initially include “BetQL Countdown to Kickoff,” which has run throughout the National Football League playoffs, with future programming expansion announced at a later date.

“BetQL Audio Network” will also be accessible via the BetQL mobile application and desktop platform and on-demand where podcasts are found.

As part of the network launch, KEZW-AM in Denver will relaunch as “The Bet 1430”

KEZW presently airs an Adult Standards format as “Timeless Music EZ 1430.” It is the former KOSI-AM.

Now, KEZW will serve as a broadcast distribution channel for “BetQL Audio Network” content.

For those with an HD Radio receiver, “BetQL Audio Network” will also be heard on KCBS-FM 93.1 HD3 in Los Angeles. The HD3 signal is presently not in use for “93.1 Jack FM,” with the CBS Sports Network airing on the HD2 channel.

The “BetQL Audio Network” will be cross-promoted across Entercom’s portfolio of 39 all-sports stations across the U.S.
